Reaching Independence Through Employment (RITE) Program

Provided by Triangle Community Resources
The program is built to ensure each participant is provided the supports, services and tools required to manage their unique individual barriers and circumstances in a safe, supportive environment for learning and skill development. Through a holistic and flexible approach that provides client-centred counselling and interventions, clients can make informed career decisions based on their interests and abilities, understand the value of skills training and education, and be prepared to succeed in employment. The groups are gender sensitive. The program offers:
- Individualized employment counselling
- 2-week group-based workshop series
- Support accessing community or Government services
- Life, employability, and skills for success training
- Vocational assessments and career coaching
- Mental Health support: Up to 8 personal counselling sessions
- Funding for occupational skills training, certificates and/or short duration training
- Work experience opportunities
- Job search and job retention assistance
- Supports for transportation
- Job start supports such as work wear and/or tools
- Completion bonus
- People who are facing barriers to employment
- Unemployed or precariously employed individuals
- Those currently living in British Columbia
Intake is done on a continuous basis. Intake can be done in person, via ZOOM, or over the phone.
